MB GLE AMG/Line 250d black - Brand new Mercedes GLE SUV - del due early April - alanemids

Hello.

I've put a 1k deposit down on a brand new mercedes suv Gle/amg-line 250d. Due to be delivered early April. (colour is black)

I am now thinking a pre-reg 350 gle would be better.

You usually hear about waiting times for many makes of cars inc the mercedes and GLE is about 12 weeks.

Is there a site I could sell it to, the person that buys car get car in a couple of weeks and they are first registered, ie pay for the car.

I apologise in advance if my post breaches and T&C's here. I may keep the car as intially inteneded but if I lose no money, will sell - looking at 45k for the brand new car from dealer in the midlands.

I get borded easily and dreaded ordering new and now this. I guess when I get the car if cant sell, I'll be ok but I thought I'd try to ask this question here having searched the net and nt really find anyhting other than how cars lose ??% as soon as registered which I'm sure you like me is aware of.

Many thanks and sorry again in this post is deemed inapprproaite.

All the bling but only 4-cylinder.

Ask the dealer if they'll transfer your deposit.

They will, but then I will have to wait for a pre-reg 350 as they do not have one.

I have my reasons for the 250, well I thought I did. I have the 320 as I said earlier and Grand Cherokee 3-0, 5 yrs old used as weekend workhorse.

Reason for 250 was, cheaper tax, cheaper fule and cheaper car but now feel not the way forward.

As people wait around 12 weeks for this car, I was wondering could sell losing no money and free to buy from another delaer a demo, ie 3 months old car 350 with a pack.

Having recently waited 14 weeks for a factory order VW Touareg, these sort of cars have customer options and no two people want the same combination so you'd lose the value of any unwanted items.

It's a standard GLE, Amg-Line, 250d in Obsidian black. I was going to go for the 'black pack and pan roof with 3D pack,' but the car may of then taken up to 12/14 weeks. This one as standard was order and getting in about 9/10 weeks.

Recently, there are 'ex-demo' cars om mB sites but they can't sell for 3 months on the 16 plate and these demo cars usally come with a mileage of 3 to 5k and from what I have seen, most people that are given the car for a few hours or days trash the cars. IMO. it is important to drive the car carefully for the first 800 to 1k miles to let engine and brakes/discs settle in. As I aniticpate to keep the car for about 4/5 yrs I thought this was imortant.

There was a TV programme a while ago that I cannot recall, the bloke walked around in London and stopped people in cars with long waiting lists, ie 6 months+ etc and paid them more than what they had paid as others were prepared to pay more than the retail price to jump waiting list - That small Porsche SUV is a good exmaple
