Ok, I just bought a 2004 (old) focus 1.8 tdci. I have a problem with the wipers. When I pull the wiper stalk towards me which should give a wash and wiper, I just get the squirt and no wipe (pretty dangerous). When I push the button on the end of the stalk I get a squirt at the rear screen and wipe at the front! I'm guessing it's a crossed wires matter.

Any advice would be greatly received, I'm no mechanic so please be as straight forward as possible. Huge thanks
