Thanks for the quick reply Peter. I will give the dealer a call. I alway feel even though the car is under warranty and the jacking process was followed exactly as stated in the owners book they try and put the blame back on the owner.

Was thinking of jacking on the other side to see if that took any stress out. What do you think.

Somehow i doubt its the screen itself, more likely some plastic trim rattling against the class (or another bit of trim) close to the glass, do some prodding pressing and poking whilst someone else drives.

Such noises are the downside of everything being plastic these days, especially with concrete springs and elastic band tyres and minimal insulation between plastic and lightly painted metal.

Hi Andrew - the noise is very similar to the one you get when you use a glass cutter. It's that sharp cracking sound.

I drove 33 miles home from work yesterday and it didn't make the noise once. Went back out about an hour later.. and there it was again.
