Should I be able to feel the gear changes in my Mazda 6?

Is it normal to be able to feel the gear change from first to second with an automatic gearbox when the engine is cold? Once the engine is warmed up the box is quite smooth. My car is a 2007 Mazda 6.

The automatic transmission fluid could be contaminated, possibly with coolant. Get it checked by a member of www.fedauto.co.uk
