My Peugeot 205 GTi won't start - any tips?

I have a Peugeot 205 GTi. It's been sat for three weeks and ran spot on before I parked it up. When I tried to start the car the battery was flat, so I tried jumpstarting it, but all it will do is fire up, rev to 1500rpm and then stall. If I try to accelerate it stalls immediately.

Given that your battery went completely flat, it may be that the ECU system has closed down and lost all its memory. You could try putting a fully charged battery on the car and leave it for 30 mins (without trying to start the car). Then start the engine and see if the system has realigned itself. I know it sounds odd, but it has happened to others before.
