How should I approach Volkswagen about an ESP light fault in my Jetta?

The ESP light has come on in my 2007 Volkswagen Jetta. How should I approach Volkswagen with this problem? I have 26,000 miles on the clock and my three-year warranty ran out in May. From your website it would seem to be a common problem.

First, email: volkswagencustomerservices@volkwagen.co.uk. If they won't help or want to charge more than £500 for a complete new ABS/ESP module, go to www.ecutesting.com/vw_golf_touran_abs_pump_module....l and have the existing module repaired and modified for about £300. This seems to be the repair approved by BMW.
