Should I buy a petrol Jaguar XE instead of a diesel?

I have a Jaguar XF 3.0-litre diesel and I'm thinking of changing to an XE. However, with all the bad press that diesel is getting would you advise me to have the petrol engine? Are the modern diesel particulate filters and AdBlue not effective enough to reduce exhaust emissions to a safe level ?

Yes. Get the Ford engined 2.0 i 240PS with the 8-speed auto. That's the best combination in an XE. Real mpg is only 34, but some drivers are averaging 40mpg plus.
