When is the best time to buy the new Ford Fiesta?

I am planning to buy a new or nearly new Ford Fiesta, probably a 1.0 Ecoboost. There are a few things I don't like about the current model, and wonder if I should wait for the new model to be released. Is it likely to be much more expensive? If I decide to buy the current model, when would be the best time to buy? I have a 2005 Focus and probably won't part exchange.

Of course the transaction price for the new Fiesta will be more expensive both in terms of list price and discounts available. It's already the New Year and used prices have risen every January for the past 25 years, but you haven't completely missed the boat because they might rise again by the Spring. However, discounts on the current model Fiesta are likely to rise until they sell out and it could be you can snatch a new one for less than a year old used one.
