How can I improve the reliability of my Skoda Superb DSG?

You have often commented in your column in The Telegraph on the pros and cons of the VAG DSG gear box. I have a 2012 Skoda Superb Estate which I have had remapped to give just over 200PS (and yes, my insurance supplier is aware). Is there anything I can do to avoid any future problems - like more regular oil/filter changes?

This will be the more robust wet clutch six-speed DSG that absolutely has to have a transmission oil and filter change every three - four years. Otherwise, change the engine oil and filter every 10k miles or every year, whichever comes first, use only super diesel, and consider having the turbo oil feed and oil return pips replaced in case they are getting clogged with carbon. Also, when they offer you the EA189 NOx defeat remap, don't have it done.
