Why is the steering feel so poor on my Hyundai ix35?

I own a Hyundai ix35 1.7 Diesel. I've noticed that the steering doesn't has any feedback and appears overly sensitive. I have already been to my local Hyundai dealer four times and they said it is not a problem, but a characteristic of the car. Is this correct? Can I improve the car's steering in anyway?

Try lowering the tyre pressures. Steering feel depends on the wheel and tyre size, the type of tyre and the pressures as well as the steering system itself. It's much better on the 4WDs.
