What's wrong with my Hyundai ix35?

I have a 2012 Hyundai ix35 1.7 diesel, which is under a finance agreement. The vehicle frequently goes into limp mode, exclusively under acceleration such as overtaking or joining the motorway. The dash shows no lights and no fault codes are stored according to main dealer.

By pulling over, turning the car off and on, I can immediately clear the problem. When in limp mode, fuel consumption on motorway drops from 48mpg to 35mpg. I only use quality fuels.

This is a dangerous fault, but dealer says they can't find anything wrong. Any ideas?

This is a known fault with the 1.7CRDI in both the ix35 and the Sportage. Something to do with the cruise control. The way this is described it might be the DPF getting blocked and failing to regenerate.

If they can't fix it you can reject it to the finance company. You have to keep paying them until a judge rules in your favour. See: www.honestjohn.co.uk/faq/consumer-rights/ The way this is described it might be the DPF getting blocked and failing to regenerate.
