Vauxhall Meriva air con not working as it should

The air con on my Vauxhall Meriva works okay for most of the time - producing cool/cold air - but I suspect this means it's not working at full design capacity and might need re-charging. Should this be done to avoid damage or expensive work later on, or can I just continue as is, until it stops blowing cool air?

Yes. Happily your car will be using the inexpensive old R-134a gas so a regas should cost you between £45 and £60 providing there is no other fault with the system. readers are being quoted £250 + to regas with the new R-1234yf gas used in car a/c systems from around 2013.
