Can I reject a car over its uncomfortable driving position?

My wife has had her new car for just over a week. She has now developed sciatica in her right leg. Various seat adjustments do not help. The problem could be related to the pedal positions and poor seat position flexibility.

It is being purchased on PCP finance and the dealer has suggested taking the car to a disability assessment centre with a view to adaptation. He say there is no mechanical reason for rejecting the car. Can the car be rejected on grounds of not fit for purpose?

No. Because she developed sciatica after the purchase. To successfully reject you would have to prove that the car caused the sciatica and that it cannot be adapted to prevent causing the sciatica. I have never heard of a Qashqai causing sciatica.

I think a solution can be found. It may be as simple as adjusting the seat correctly to a more reclined position. An upright seat feeds the entire weight of the torso into the coccyx.
