Has my Skoda Fabia's ambient temperature sensor failed?

I have a Skoda Fabia 1.4 16V Estate (Y-reg). I recently had a gas recharge done on the air conditioning as it was not cold enough. It will now only seem to work when it is a cold day - if it's warm or hot, forget it. I had a word with a few people but they are as baffled as me. I have come across an ambient temp sensor beside the fog light. Would this be faulty?

Maybe. Or maybe the pump clutch has failed, or maybe the pump itself. Consult an air conditioning specialist. See the FAQ at HJUK.
