Skoda Octavia DPF warning light

My Skoda Octavia 1.6 diesel is six months old and the DPF light has started to come on. I use it for daily commuting and school runs. About once a week it gets a 200 mile or so business trip mainly on motorways. Any idea what the DPF light could mean?

First report of DPF problems with the new EA 288 1.6TDI. Could be that a 50 mile motorway run will clear it. If not, trip to the dealer.
