How can I get a discount on a BMW X3 or X5 when buying from overseas?

I am looking to buy a used (57/08) BMW X3 or X5. A slight complication is that I am trying to do this from abroad so I can pick the car up shortly after my return to the UK. This mitigates in favour of dealing with a dealer, as my negotiations will be mainly over the phone. Using Parker's guide as a yardstick, prices asked by BMW dealers appear vastly inflated (10-15 per cent) above the guide prices. Will they easily come down to the guide level or is business good enough at those prices for them? I am a cash buyer.

They won't easily come down to someone ordering from overseas, unless you tempt them by offering a large deposit.
