Electric handbrake problems with a Renault Scenic

Can you tell me please do you need to match the code's up when buying a second hand, hand brake motor with cables?

Well we consider that if the unit is U/S then the only option is to purchase a new one.
Reason is that they are a one fit only part, and even then the new part has to be programmed into the car which will need diagnostic equipment to complete.
