Replacing a Verso with an S-MAX?

I'm considering exchanging or selling my Verso for an S-MAX for up to 8k as a better option for towing a caravan and bike carrier. I would like to buy a medium caravan in future within 2 years time.
The second option is buying roofbars, roofbox for the Verso and a tow bar for 3 bikes although I was told noseweight is only 60kg so it can be problem with 3 heavy bikes.

Instead of upgrading the Verso with these accessories I could spend towards S-MAX or other 7 seater upgrade. What would you advise please?

This is all about overloading vehicles with stuff on the roof and a caravan behind and when you do that you vastly increase the likelihood of a failure. Addison Lee Galaxy models are Powershift autos and I wouldn't want to tow with an ageing Powershift, but a Galaxy has more room inside than am S-MAX because it is the same length but taller. That said, I won't advise on this because it involves imposing heavy loads on ageing vehicles and increasing the risk of breakdowns.
