Is the Mazda 5 a good car?
As a low mileage family seeking a new seven-seater, our choices appear to be limited (assuming we would be well advised to avoid a diesel engine). We were tempted by a Ford Grand C-Max but having waited for the launch of the 2015 model, discovered they are no longer offering the 1.6 Ecoboost (182PS) engine which would have been our first choice.
The dealer is offering some seemingly good deals on the outgoing Mazda 5 - which you can get with a 2.0l petrol engine. Would this be a sensible buy?

Not half. That was a very good car with an excellent combination of handling and comfort due to its long travel suspension. I had one for a year. But the model just didn't sell in the UK.

Family friendly seven seater. Sport has remote electric sliding side doors. Economical and light new 1.6 diesel. Compliant suspension astonishingly good on poor road surfaces.
