Ford Focus sticking in gear

I've got a problem with the fifth gear in my Ford Focus (2003 model) 1.6 Petrol. It keeps sticking in gear when travelling for approx 20 mins or more. The problem seems to rectify itself when I pull over and put the car into reverse. What's your thoughts on this?

Probably lost some fluid. Drain the fluid from the transmission and replace with the correct amount and a molybednum disulphide additive such as STP or Moly. If you see any oil patches under the car then a seal is failing and fixing that will involve a lot of dismantling.
