Citroen Berlingo replacement - which would you recommend?

I need to replace my 2003 Citroen Berlingo Multispace. the car is used for town driving, with the occasional long trip. I've looked at the new Berlingo, but it has poor petrol options. I've also considered the Fiat 500L but it has less room in the back.

My shortlist is now the Citroen C3 Picasso 1.6 Exclusive VT or the Peugeot Partner 1.6 VTi 120. It is really hard to choose. My main concerns are comfortable drive and reliability. Can you help?

The 500L TwinAir didn't work. Too much body for such a small engine. I've heard of some offers on Citroen C3 Picasso 1.4VTIs at less than £10,000 because that combination is on runout. They're quite big inside and compact outside. I've got a 1.2 PureTech 130 in a 308. 7500 miles so far no problems and 48mpg. Not sure how much they can increase the production of the engine. Has very complex casting for the cylinder head. But it is a brilliant engine.
