206 automatic jumping out of gear on cold mornings

My Peugeot 206 automatic has started jumping out of gear on cold mornings, with a frost light flashing on the dashboard. However, after stopping and restarting it seems to warm up and drive ok. Any idea why this is?

The transmission fluid is probably contaminated with water and this allows is to partially freeze.
