Powershift problems with Ford S-Max

I have a 2011 Ford S-Max 2.0 diesel with Powershift auto. It has only done 22,000 miles, but is more than three years old so out of warranty. The transmission has a faulty sensor which is costing me £2200 to replace the sensor unit and the clutch which may have been damaged.

The car is very low miles but Ford won't help in regards to the cost. Has anyone else has similar issues and has any got anywhere with getting Ford to help?

This is a Getrag Powershift transmission, made by Getrag, not by Ford. Googling<Getrag Powershift repairs> gets you to various problems, including those reported to me, and there are some parts specialists such as www.sussexautos.co.uk/dct-parts.php You might find someone who can fix it at www.fedauto.co.uk
