How can I stop my Volvo V70's air conditioning blowing warm?
I have a 2002 Volvo V70 with 153,000 miles. Recently the air conditioning started blowing hot regardless of what setting it was on, but by turning it off for a while then randomly pressing the hot/cold and auto/manual buttons, it would blow ice cold for a while, then go back to blowing warm. When it was serviced recently, Volvo told me that the condenser is bent at the bottom but said it was working. Any ideas? I don't want to spend £600 or more on a new condenser if it's not that that's wrong.

If you can get it to blow cold then maybe the fault is with the climate control thermostat. But if it's leaking refrigerant and is low on refrigerant, then the condensor could be leaking. See a/c FAQ.

I have owned a Volvo V70 T6 from new. However, on occasion, the air conditioning unit makes quite a racket. Should I be worried?

I do not suffer with hay fever so why not remove pollen filter altogether and improve the air flow through car?
