Nosy Ford Fusion - what can I do to fix it?

I own a 2002 Ford Fusion – which I love - but it is quite noisy in the back on long runs, as the boot floor/load area is not sound proofed. Would it be beneficial to out a layer of sound deadening material like Dodo or Dynamat on that area?

Definitely. In fact that's what Renault does to deaden the sound of the engine in the back of the new Twingo. Also if you run with the back seat up and the parcel shelf in place that will greatly reduce road noise.
