My Focus ST keeps stalling

I bought Ford Focus ST last October and it has just done 2000 miles from new.
I started having stalling issues and looked on your car review page which highlighted the problem with the model.

I booked my car in with two Ford garages for their technicians to have a look. They both set up diagnostics and both came back with no problem.

I spoke to one service manager about it possibly being a wiring problem and that the internet car forums were full of other owners complaining about the same fault.

He said he had not heard of the issue and not been informed by Ford about it. He even said I was the first customer to bring the car in with the issue. The road test did not replicate the problem either.

Yet I understand in the US and Canada Ford are recalling all 13/14 STs to rectify the wiring problem as a safety issue.

The dealerships here appear to know nothing. I'm banging my head on a brick wall with a performance car not performing, which could be an accident waiting to happen.

Why doesn't Ford send out a worldwide recall. I'd like for you to highlight the poor way Ford UK treats its customers in your column please. They make me feel I'm making the issue up. So frustrating. And what can I do now?

See the car by car entry. There is a dealer TSB but it has only just been issued and your dealer may not be aware of it yet: 3-9-2014: Full TSB dealer fix for Focus ST wiring problem that causes stalling. Dealer fixes with replacement wiring splices, SP963 and SP959 with both crimping and soldering. Fault code is P26DE-00-2F-PCM. Ford requests dealer to clear code. Road test. Clear code. Update PCM. And only after 3rd capture of above fault code would Ford advise to undertake above splices. No dashboard removal needed.
