Do you have a lot of complaints about faults on the KIA Venga?

I wrote to you some time ago about my KIA Venga diesel smelling of fuel in the cab. I've done 4500 miles in it now and it is still happening, though not as bad as it was. It seems to be worse on hot days and when I come to an abrupt stop. It's been back twice now and they cannot find anything wrong which makes the 7-year warranty useless. Having heard about the Picanto fuel leak problems, I am now highly suspicious and I think they may have a similar problem here. Also the eco thingy that cuts off the engine when in neutral packs up occasionally. It resets itself when the engine car has been stopped and turned off a while.

The electrics in the dash failed, leaving me with no instruments and lights, and I had to turn off the engine and restart it to clear the problem. Thankfully this only happened once. It also has a serious lack of power when accelerating, as reported by other Venga users on the KIA Forum (which has now been closed to people trying to register onto it). They have been told not to use supermarket fuels. I have to say that I am regretting buying it and swapping from my 207 SW HDI. Are any other Venga owners moaning?

All the moans to me are in the Venga entry in car-by-car breakdown on this site. Stop/start will not work all the time if conditions are not right, especially if the car does a lot of short runs from cold starts, because the battery cannot take it. Read the manual about this.
