Why does my Rover 25 judder when I change gear after a long journey?

I've got a Rover 25 1.4i L 2002 model. Just recently it started to judder - it's fine after it's been running a while, especially after a long journey. It only really happens when I change gear and start to rev up. It's not losing water and is not overheating, and the oil seems fine. Any ideas please?

It could possibly be the clutch, although you really need to take it to a garage to get an expert to take a look before doing anything else. Alternatively you could try posting in Technical Matters in the Backroom at honestjohn.co.uk/forum which is free. Thanks.
