Skoda Superb estate - which tyres are best?
I am planning to buy a new Skoda Superb estate 2.0 TDI 170PS. On the Elegance trim, 18-inch wheels are the only option. The dealer thinks he might be able, by various complicated arrangements, to swap the 18s with 16 or 17-inch wheels from another, but it's going to cost me quite a bit extra. Is it worth the hassle and cost?

You could buy a set of wheels from www.tyremen.co.uk for about £350, plus the cost of the tyres. Fitting 16-inch tyres will give a softer ride than 17s because they leave more rubber between the rims and the road. It might make more sense for you to go for a lower grade 140PS model anyway. You won't notice much difference unless you take it racing.
