Air con not working on Volkswagen Passat - what's the fault?

My 2003 Volkswagen Passat Estate is suffering from air con problems. It refuses to cool, even after a gas top up. Any suggestions?

See an a/c specialist. Might be the pump. Might be the pump clutch.
