Jaguar F-Type - what's the ride like?

Your recent road test of the F-Type Coupe makes no mention of ride quality. A recent test drive by a friend of the roadster revealed a bone hard ride and I had a similar experience in a new Porsche 911 Carrera S.

Why do so few reviews mention that these cars aren't liveable with in the real world of potholes and bodged road repairs ?

All the cars we drove were on 20-inch wheels with 35 profile tyres, and the ride was reasonable, but the Spanish roads were relatively smooth. If you're going to worry about ride quality through potholes in a car capable of 170mph plus, you're looking at the wrong kind of cars. If thinking F-Type you would have to restrict yourself to one on 18" wheels, which means the entry model 340PS V6. Same goes for Boxsters and Caymans.
