Should I buy this secondhand BMW Z3?

I have been offered a 2.8-litre 1998 BMW Z3 for £2000. I have known the lady owner and her husband for some time and she has told me that the only reason for the sale is her age (mid 70s) and health (arthritis). The car has been re-waxed and had a new hood about two years ago. It has 44,000 miles on the clock with, I think, a full service history. She is the second owner. Do you know any reasons why I shouldn't buy it? The car would be used as a 'fun car' for my wife and myself.

If you can afford £2000 and the insurance I don't see why not. Don't expect a lot of 'fun', though. This is a powerful, good-looking, wind in your hair two-seater tourer, but it isn't a sports car.
