How can I trace a driver who damaged our car?

Our car was run into by a Mister XXXXXXXX of Ascot or Bracknell - we only have his phone number: 01344 XXXXXX. We forgot to get his car's registration number. We have phoned him and he says he will not give it. We must get it from Churchill his insurer, and this is proving difficult. Before he crashed into our car he had also committed other damage in the car park where the incident took place. What can we do? Such incidents are probably a regular occurrence in his life, and he should be stopped. Any help gratefully received.

Report him to the police. You can probably use a reverse telephone directory that you can find on Google to get the man's address, then pay a visit to it to get the registration of the car. Probably best not to approach the man himself.
