Should I buy the older Qashqai at a discount?

Should I buy a (current model) brand new Nissan Qashqai 1.6 dCi Tekna 2wd for £19,816.64, or wait for the new Qashqai that has just been announced? The list price of the current model is £25,140 with metallic paint, but I am getting it brand new for £19,816. Is it worth it?

The reason for the £5000 discount is the imminence of the new model. But they have pushed the prices of the old model up in order to make the discounts look bigger and in order to claim that the new model is no dearer. Standard tactic. So, while the price of £19,816 is okay, is this the car you really want? At least the 1.6dCi is the right engine. That, the new Honda 1.6iDTEC and the new GM 1.6CDTI are the most advanced 1.6-litre diesels there are.
