Can you recommend an automatic with a high seating position for short journeys?

We've recently moved to the Isle of Wight and need a car to replace our 11-year-old Zafira. It will be used mostly for short runs of a couple of miles with occasional longer trips to the mainland maybe once a month. It needs to be an automatic with a high seating position and our budget is £15,000. We like the Citroen Berlingo but the only automatic is a diesel, will that be a problem with our low mileage? Another one we like is the Skoda Yeti with the 1.2 petrol engine but I'm not sure about the DSG option. What would you recommend?

A Renault Captur TCe 120 EDC is probably your best bet: www.honestjohn.co.uk/road-tests/renault/renault-ca.../ but at list prices it's well over budget. So, too, is a Yeti 1.2TSI DSG unless you can do some very serious bargaining. I'll warn you off any automated manual 'automatics'. They aren't great to drive and usually give trouble after a few years.
