Is this Jaguar XJ Sovereign too expensive?

I am interested in purchasing a 2007 3.0 petrol Jaguar XJ Sovereign, 26,000 miles, FJSH. The Jaguar dealer is asking £17,000 for the car, which I think is far too much even allowing for the mileage, spec, pedigree and Jaguar 12-month warranty. My view is that £12,000-£13,000 is nearer the mark. What is your opinion?

You are right. Book retail is £11,450 for a 61,000 mile 2007. If it's a revamped 240PS 2007 with 57,000 miles, then book retail goes up to £12,450. 30,000 miles adds £1500. Trade prices allow a £3650 profit margin on than these retail prices.
