What do you think of the Ford EcoBoost engines?

I read with interest your replies about the diesel/petrol question and your recommendation of the Ford EcoBoost engines. I find the idea of these very attractive, especially the 1.0 EcoBoost in the Ford B-Max, but these engines appear to be small for the size of car they are powering and I wondered if you had any idea about the durability of them in the long run. I know they haven't been out long to assess properly but I would value your thoughts on this.

We just don't know and won't know until they've been out there for a matter of years. Obviously drivers do need to be aware of the need to idle their turbos for at least 30 seconds before switching their engines off after driving the cars hard.
