Why has fuel gone up in price again?

I just filled the car up at Morrisons: an eye-watering £80. The attendant explained that it’s gone up three times this week alone. Yet again less money in our pocket and a bigger tax take for our self-serving parliament

This is partly due to commodity speculation that the government has no control over, just like is had not real control over the banks. And partly due to the fall in the value of Sterling against the US Dollar. Money men rule the world, not governments. They have the smartest brains and they are the most ruthless.
