Why do my father's Audi A4's electric windows open by themselves?

My father has an Audi A4, which was made in 2001. Recently the electric windows have started opening by themselves. Have you any idea what is the possible cause?

It might be from jiggling of the remote fob in his pocket, but is more likely to be moisture ingress to the windows affecting the locking ECU inside the drivers door, a common fault with VAG cars for the past 20 years.
