Which small cars are fairly quiet in terms of running noise and feature a high level of specification?

I wish to buy a small car/supermini that is not too noisy (in comparison to similar small cars) which has a high specification. Ideally with some of the specs as standard, unlike the Mini where nothing is standard.

Few small cars are particularly quiet but for refinement, we'd suggest either the latest Ford Fiesta or a Volkswagen Polo. The top versions (Titanium on the Fiesta and SEL on the Polo) of each come very well-equipped as standard.
