Honda CR-V suffering intermittent unlocking/alarm problems

I have a strange problem with my 2008 Honda CR-V. The remote key has developed an intermittent problem and will not unlock the car. Sometimes it fails several times a day, while others it will go for weeks without a hitch. I’ve replaced the battery and tried the spare keys, but no joy. The only pattern I have found is that when remote fails, if I wait three minutes, then it will work. Can you shed any light on this?

Not heard of this before. But the consistent 3 minute delay must be a system re-set time. Somehow the signal from the first press must be weak or must be getting corrupted.
