Parking ticket at motorway services - Can I appeal?

I received a charge notice for being recorded as 'parked' in Norton Canes Services on the M6 toll for in excess of the permitted two hours. I am somewhat confused as I spent one hour at the petrol garage and an additional two hours in the general car park.

I am sure they have a record of me on the CCTV at the petrol station and combined this with my overall stay at the services. Do I have a case of appeal, as I was certainly not parked in the car park for in excess of two hours.

I think you have breached the parking contract. I have sympathy for drivers who abide by the instruction 'Tiredness can kill. Take a break', then fall asleep in a motorway rest area. They have a legitimate argument to use in court. But you used it for a meeting. I can't see a way out of this one.
