Will my daughter's CX-5 have a problematic DPF?

My daughter plans to buy a Mazda CX-5 with 2.2 150ps diesel. They only do one or two long runs a month (+25 miles), most of the trips will be 4 to 5 miles to and from school and shopping. My Jaguar 3.0D proved to be a problem sometimes with too many short runs, will they experience the same issue with the Mazda CX-5?

Because the engine is exhaust manifold in head, they should have no trouble. This new type of engine creates less soot and heats up its DPF very rapidly. The only bug is a need to change the oil every 8k - 10k miles rather then the 12,500 stipulated because it gets contaminated fairly quickly.
