Aygo recalls - can you help?

Should I have been told about the Toyota 'service directive - as outlined in your Aygo 'Recalls' - by my dealer, when I had to replace my clutch last year at only 26000 miles? I am an advanced driver and do not ride the clutch either? My dealer - after a preliminary test - suggested it might be the clutch and then quoted a maximum of £1000 to confirm the problem and carry out the replacement. I had the work done at a much lower cost elsewhee and was advised by the mechanic that the clutch showed minimal wear and tear.

The TSBs should be routinely carried out when the car is in for a service.
