Should I replace my Toyota RAV4 with a newer model?

My local dealer has a 2012 Toyota RAV4 for sale for £18,490. It has covered 10,000 miles and looks in good condition. Is this a fair price, and what could I expect to get for trade on my 2006 Toyota Rav4 XT3 with 60,000 miles?

No, because it's now the 'old' model. Daft to trade in like-for-like, only a bit newer. Your 2006 XT3 trade books at £5180 + £225 for the slightly lower than book miles, so £5405.

I'm after a decent 4x4 SUV for less than £4000. I've read a few reviews and it appears the Honda CR-V and Toyota RAV4 are the best options. What do you think?
