Audi A4 oil light always on - what's the fault?

The oil light on my Audi A4 is constantly on. The oil pressure sender has been changed and levels are always kept spot on. What should I try next?

It means that the oil pressure is low, so the reason is probably either the pump or a blocked pick-up strainer in the sump.
