Can I remove the DPF from my BMW X3?

I have recently replaced the DPF on my BMW X3, due to the car having a lack of power above 3000rpm. I assumed that the new DPF would fix things however two weeks later I have the same issue.

If I remove the DPF the car runs really well so not sure what my options are. Do I decoke the inlet manifold (more cost) or get rid of the DPF and put in a straight pipe?

I won't advise you to get ride of the DPF because you can't legally do this. As yet, there are no MoT or VOSA checks, but there could be in the future. Reads to me like the EGR wants cleaning or replacing.
