Can you recommend a medium sized family car for £5000-6000?

I'm looking to get a medium size family car for between £5000 and £6000. I'm looking to use it at weekends for getting out of London and holidays on the continent, so want decent boot space and reliability.

It's also my first car in a few years, so have zero no claims bonus and don't want anything that's too expensive on insurance.

KIA cee'd or Hyundai i30. (But not the 2.0 petrol or diesel engines.)
