Can you recommend a used compact 4x4?

What in your opinion is the best used smallish 4x4?

It must be automatic (for my wife to drive), but we don’t mind which fuel type. At present we use a 1995 Toyota Rav4 automatic, but we feel we could do with an upgrade.

There aren't any. Smallest is something like a KIA Sportage 2.0CRDI 4x4 auto.
