Where is the code which identifies my Skoda's date of manufacture?

Is there a method of confirming the date of manufacture from 'codes' carried on the vehicle? The car in question is a Skoda Superb.

There are some complicated codes on the side glass, but the easiest codes to read are on the plastics. There is usually a code on the underside of the plastic ashtray, but, of course, that could have been replaced so it's best to cross check with other plastic components on the car.
